| FLEET SPURS - CLUB HISTORY |
The origins of Fleet Spurs FC can be traced back to 1948, when a group of young footballers began playing friendly matches in the Fleet and Aldershot area. In 1951, Fleet Spurs FC gained admittance to the Aldershot and District League winning various League and Cup honours, with the Reserve Team being formed in 1965. From 1965-71 the 1st team saw a spell in the Surrey Premier Division, whilst the reserves remained in the Aldershot leagues where the Club continue to field 2 sides to this day (‘A’ team and Vets team). In 1991 the 1st Team were promoted to the Hants Division 3 gaining promotion during their 1st year progressing to become Hants Division 2 Champions in 1998. The 1st team now play in the Wessex Sydenhams League Division 1 and the reserves in the Combination Division 2. We continue to field a Fleet Spurs A side in the Aldershot and District 1st Division and also a Veterans side in Aldershot and District League division 3.
