CUP COMPETITION RULES |
1.
TITLE
The Cup Competitions of the Wessex Football League shall be called:
a) The League Cup
b) The Combination League Cup (Reserve Teams only)
2. ADMINISTRATION
The Board of the Wessex Football League shall have the control and
management of the Competition. All decisions of the Board shall be
accepted as final.
3. RULES
The Wessex Football League Rules shall apply to these Competitions
except when it is stated otherwise.
4. ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS
The Annual Subscriptions for each team competing in the Competitions
shall be as per the Fees Tariff payable by the 31st July in each year.
5. PROTESTS
As per League Rule 17.1 to 17.3.
6. PLAYER/CLUB
Each Club competing shall consist of sixteen (16) bona-fide members
of their Club, per team. The matches shall be played under the Rules
of the Football Association and in accordance with the Laws of the
game. NO individual shall play for more than one competing Club in
the same Competition.
Any Club found in default of this Rule will be disqualified from
the Competition and subject to any other penalties the Board may deem
necessary.
7. QUALIFICATION OF PLAYERS
7.1 A bona-fide member shall be considered as such when he has duly
registered with the Competition Registrations Secretary of the Wessex
Football League, i.e. seven (7) days before a cup tie.
7.2 Combination Cup Only
Any player who has played in the Wessex League Cup or a total or
a combined total of more than eight (8) senior or equal matches to
the Wessex League Division One in order of the precedence shall not
be eligible to play in this Competition.
7.3 A player named as a substitute who does not play will retain his
eligibility.
8. CHAMPIONSHIP PROCEDURES
All rounds to be played on a knockout basis except for the Semi-Final.
Extra time to be played in the event of the score being level at
the end of ninety minutes. If the score is still level after extra
time the tie shall be settled by the taking of penalty kicks, (Final
tie included). The Semi-Final shall be played over two (2) legs.
No extra time is to be played in either leg. If the scores are still
level
the away goals in both legs are to count double. If the scores are
still level the tie is to be settled by the taking of penalty kicks. |
9.
FIXTURES
The Competition Fixtures Secretary shall have the power to make such
fixture arrangements as he may deem necessary. Such arrangements
shall be accepted at any time in the season, except where pre-arranged
precedent fixtures are concerned. The home Club shall retain their
own gate net receipts. The League shall take the whole of the gate
receipts for the Cup Final. |
