DERBY SETS NEW RECORD
A new Wessex League attendance record was set on Monday for the Premier Division local derby between AFC Portchester and Fareham Town.
A magnificent 1,598 stepped through the turnstiles at the OnSite Group Stadium for 'El Creekio' - almost three times Portchester's previous high - as the hosts claimed a 4-1 victory to go twelve points clear at the top of the table.

The New Year's gate surpasses the previous Wessex record of 1,485. who witnessed Salisbury beat rivals Bemerton Heath Harlequins at the Raymond MacEnhill Stadium in 2015 - and this season's best of 1,012 as Moneyfields played out a 3-3 draw with AFC Portchester at Havant & Waterlooville's Draper Tools Community Stadium last week.
