RINGWOOD ANNOUNCE MATHERS
Ringwood Town have announced Fran Mathers as their new manager.
Mathers joins the Wessex Division One side from Hampshire Premier League outfit, Stockbridge, while also acting as Downton's Head of Youth alongside previous experience as their Under 23's and Reserve Team Manager.
He commented: "I cannot wait to get started on this exciting new project and I'm grateful to Ringwood Town for putting their faith in me.
"With the evolving partnership with AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust and continued growth on and off the pitch at youth and senior level, it's a very exciting future.
"I look forward to pushing us forward on many levels and building with the brilliant club members, coaches, players and volunteers."
Chairman, Phil King, added: "I am really pleased Fran is joining us. I believe he is a perfect match for where we are and our ambitions as a club.
"He brings a strong back-room team and and a drive and passion to build something special."
Ringwood are the second Wessex side this week who have looked to the Hampshire Premier League to find their new manager, following Alresford Town, who appointed Connor Doswell and Nathan Morgan from Senior Division champions, Colden Common.
